Mark Knoplfer releases “Sailing To Philadelphia” reissue

The heroes of pop-rock are now starting to have a certain age, as do their albums. The passage of time is greeted by republishing old records using the anniversary of their release as an opportunity. The second solo album by Mark Knopfler, “Sailing To Philadelphia” (read the review here), is no exception and celebrates its 25th anniversary with two new editions: a 2-LP clear vinyl version and a Blu-ray audio edition.

The album was released on September 25, 2000 and features the vocal collaborations of
James Taylor, Van Morrison,
Chris Difford
And
Glenn Tilbrook
of the
Squeeze
. All the songs on the album were written by Knopfler himself.
