LL Cool J’s new album coming out in September
LL Cool Jaward-winning hip hop icon, entrepreneur, philanthropist announces his 14th studio album “The FORCE (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy)”, which will be published on September 6, 2024 Street Def Jam Recordings / Virgin Music Group.
The new album, consisting of 14 tracks, features contributions from Nas, Eminem, Rick Ross, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Saweetie, Snoop Dogg, Don Pablito, JS.AND, Mad Squablz and Sona Jobarteh.
“The FORCE” is available for the pre-order and pre-save
“The FORCE,” LL’s first album in more than a decade, is a powerful reminder of just how visceral his music can be. Produced entirely by Q-Tip by A Tribe Called Quest, “The FORCE (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy)” represents years of intense work, which the Queens emcee likens to “learning how to rap again.”
“It’s like a director going back to film school after making blockbusters,” LL says, or “Denzel going back to acting class.”
The album highlights LL’s new musical stylings and addresses timely issues such as racial injustice, law enforcement abuse, isolation and the implications of the pandemic, legacy, and reflections on LL’s place in the scene.
“We’re talking about 14 tracks of fire, all made by me and the one and only Q-Tip,” LL said. “When you listen to this album, you don’t just hear music, you experience a whole new vibe, a whole new level of artistic passion.”
Following the success of his first single “Saturday Night Special” featuring Rick Ross and Fat Joe, LL has released “Passion” the second song from the new work.
