Lizzo clarifies in a video on social media: “I'm not leaving music”
A few days after sharing a message on her social channels that ended with an ambiguous “I quit”, Lizzo published a new video on Instagram in which he clarifies that the post didn't mean he was abandoning musicbut his intention to stop “paying attention to negative energies.”
In the clip the singer, fresh from a period at the center of controversy after being accused of harassment and insults by some members of her team and dance troupe, and then inundated with mocking messages, he claims:
“I make this video to make it clear that when I say I stop, I mean I stop paying attention to negative energies. What I don't want to give up is the joy of my life, which is making music, which is connecting to people. Because I know I don't to be alone. In no way, shape or form, am I the only person who is experiencing that negative voice that seems to be louder than the positive one.”
It's still: “If I can give even one person the inspiration or motivation to fight for themselvesand make sure that it doesn't give up and doesn't let negative people win, doesn't let negative comments win, then I will have done even more than I could have hoped for. With that being said I will continue to move forward, I will continue to be myself“.
