Linkin Park: the documentary film about the return after Chester’s death
There is no precise release date yet, but Linkin Park have finally unveiled the first trailer for “Unshatter”, the documentary that will tell the story of the band’s return after the years following the death of Chester Bennington. The film, directed by Joe Hahn, will arrive in cinemas around the world and will retrace the rebirth of the group which culminated in 2024 with the arrival of singer Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain, up to the release of the album “From Zero” and the return to tour.
The trailer opens with Mike Shinoda in the studio musing, “I just go from one thing to the next, with no clear purpose.” While the words “The hardest part of the end is starting again” appear on the screen, the images move to the mural dedicated to Chester Bennington created by the artist Owen Dippie in Los Angeles in 2017.
From that moment the video alternates behind-the-scenes scenes and images taken from the concerts that marked Linkin Park’s return to stages around the world. The title of the documentary takes up that of “Unshatter”, one of the first songs written by the band together with Emily Armstrong and subsequently included in the creative universe of “From Zero”.
The existence of the project was teased through a series of clues scattered during the European tour. The address of the film’s official website appears on the labels of the merchandising t-shirts and in various contents published on the band’s social networks. Now the official confirmation has arrived with the sharing of the trailer. For the moment, however, Linkin Park have not announced when “Unshatter” will arrive in cinemas.
The publication of the trailer comes as the band continues their European tour which will also stop in Italy on June 26th for a date at the Visarno Arena in Florence.
