Linkin Park: New Single and Video Out Now
THE Linkin Parkafter their return to the stage, have announced the addition of new dates to their world tour entitled “From Zero” and they did it on the day of the release of the new single “Heavy Is the Crown“.
Additional tour dates include shows in Paris on November 3, Dallas on November 8, and Sao Paulo on November 15, in addition to the six previously announced dates. The band has already played shows in Inglewood, California, Brooklyn, New York, and Hamburg, Germany.
“Heavy Is the Crown” is the second single from the band’s comeback album, “From Zero“, which will be released on November 15. The song features rapped verses from Mike Shinoda and a powerful chorus sung by the new frontwoman Emily Armstrong. Before the official release, the song was previewed during a concert in Hamburg on September 22 (Read here). Additionally, it was revealed that the song will be the official anthem for the 2024 League of Legends World Championship.
The single is also available with the video which within an hour of its release had already collected over 1,400,000 views.
Linkin Park’s comeback has not been without controversy, particularly because of Emily Armstrong’s ties to Scientology and her past friendship with incarcerated actor Danny Masterson. Armstrong released a statement apologizing for supporting Masterson at a hearing and expressing her refusal to condone abuse or violence against women, declaring her support for the victims of such crimes.
In addition to Emily Armstrong, who took over for the deceased Chester Benningtonthe band also has a new drummer, Colin Brittain. The guitarist Brad Delsonwhile still being a member of Linkin Park and having participated in the recording of the new album, decided not to join the tour and so Alex Feder he will be the band’s “traveling” guitarist.
This new chapter for Linkin Park marks an important evolution in their lineup and music, keeping the band’s legacy alive.
