The trailer for the upcoming documentary by Bruce SpringsteenRoad Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band” features a two-minute preview of the American rocker with the E Street Band on tour, backstage and in interviews.

The film, which will debut on Disney+ on October 25, tells the story of Springsteen and his band during their final tour.

“Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band” was directed by Thom Zimnywho has already worked with Springsteen in “Western Stars” And “Springsteen on Broadway”.

The documentary follows Springsteen and the E Street Band as they prepare for their 2023-24 world tour. Footage includes rehearsals, backstage discussions, setlists, and clips of the band on stage.

A press release accompanying the release states that “the footage follows Springsteen closely as he develops the story he wants to tell with this tour’s setlist – interspersed with rare archival footage of the E Street Band, underscoring themes of life, loss, mortality and community.”

It’s been a busy season for Springsteen programming. PBS recently aired “Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska: A Celebration in Words and Music,” featuring performances by Noah Kahan, Lucinda Williams, and others. The special included interviews with artists who spoke about the impact Nebraska, Springsteen’s 1982 acoustic album, had on them.

The new film will debut on October 25, just days before Springsteen and the E Street Band embark on the next leg of their current tour. They recently wrapped up a run of dates in the UK and Europe, as well as a three-hour rarities-packed show in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The new dates will begin on October 31 in Montreal, with additional North American shows to follow later in the month. Springsteen has a series of overseas dates lined up next year, including the rescheduled shows at Milan’s Stadio San Siro on June 30 and July 3, 2025, that were postponed due to Bruce’s vocal issues.
