Laura Pausini has announced the release of “I canto 2”

Laura Pausini confirmed the release of “Io Canto 2”, the second volume of the cover disc which – in the version intended for the Spanish market, “Yo Canto” – in 2007 allowed the voice of “La Solitude” to win the Latin Grammy Award as “Best Latin Female Pop album”. The announcement was in the air, after the news of the release of a cover of “My story between the fingers” by Gianluca Grignani (who triggered a blow and controversial response between the singer and the rocker): he arrived at the same time as the inauguration, in Solarolo, the city of which he is original, of the “Laura Pausini Museum”, a museum entirely dedicated to her. And together with the announcement of the release of the disc, whose release date was not made known, that of the relevant tour also arrived. The first “I sing”, released in November 2006, saw Laura Pausini reinterprets classics of pop, rock and Italian songwriter as the same “I sing” by Riccardo Cocciante, “my free song” by Lucio Battisti and Mogol, “Paradiso destination” of Gianluca Grignani himself, “Spaccacuore” by Samuele Bersani. Only in Italy the album sold over 650 thousand copies, conquering the diamond disc:

After the first American Grammy I had chosen as thanks to my land to bring the Italian music I prefer in the world, and so it was. Perhaps for those like me who started doing piano bar, it is natural to get to sing those songs that although not written by you or for you are part of your life and feel like yours. I am quite proud of it, so much so that I have never stopped thinking that I would have liked to make other editions of that album of covers, and the decision arrived during my last long tour that started in 2023 and ended on New Year 2024. ‘I sing 2’ Unlike the first this time it also comes out in Spanish with the songs that I love Latin authors most, it represents for me the summary of my profession, paying homage to the songs of the past of my idols, more than colleagues, as one of the biggest forms of respect, putting me not in the foreground but at the service of that song, with pride.

The “Laura Pausini Museum” It will open to the public on September 13th: it is a real permanent exhibition that comes to life in the heart of its country of origin. Tickets, for non -members of the official fan club, cost 30 euros.
