Lana Del Rey and Jack Antonoff work together on new album
Lana Del Rey will enter the world of country music with his next album “Period”. It is now confirmed that the long-time collaborator Jack Antonoff officially joined the project.
In an interview with Time, Antonoff confirmed his involvement, but did not reveal the details. “Yes we have a story again.” said the musician and producer. He gave no further details about the record’s production, noting that he prefers to let the music speak for itself, saying: “The reason I don’t talk about things until they’re out is very simple: I like to let the music be the first point of access for people”.
Antonoff and Del Rey have been working together since “Norman F**ing Rockwell!” released in 2019. After that album they collaborated on two other albums: “Chemtrails Over the Country Club” (2021) and the American singer-songwriter’s latest work “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd” (2023). Each of these albums achieved great success, with the last record reaching no. 3 on the Billboard 200.
Del Rey first hinted at the country direction of her new album in January during Grammy week, declaring, “If you haven’t figured it out yet, the music world is going country… That’s why Jack has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi for the past four years.” While fans await further details on “Lasso,” the two are working on this new chapter in their musical journey.
In the meantime Lana Del Rey (39 years old) got married, in a private ceremony, with her fiancé (2019) Jeremy Dufrene, a tour and nature guide from Louisiana. The wedding was celebrated in the villa owned by the new groom, overlooking the waters of the swamp where he takes his tours. Dufrene has two daughters and a son from a previous relationship.
