Kiedis: “The Red Hot Chili Peppers have an album in the works”

He confirmed it Anthony Kiedis in a radio interview: Yes, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are working on a new project. “Things are moving faster than we expected,” Kiedis says. “According to what our managers, lawyers and accountants say, we shouldn’t be thinking about new music. But sometimes you don’t care what you should do, hear some music in your head and make a call to your friends.”

Flea also confirmed that after the end of the long tour (which started in Seville in 2022 and closed in the summer of 2024) the band started writing songs again. “In recent years we have done two albums and a world stadium tour” said the Red Hot bassist, also talking about one of his solo project. “When I got home I started playing the trumpet again and focused on a jazz album that I can’t wait to release. But we also started writing new songs with the band.”
