Keith Richards, from one country to another without moving from bed

It is well known that the guitarist of Rolling Stones Keith Richards for a long time he had an unpleasant history with alcohol and drugs, so much so that many consider it a miracle that he has reached his current 80 years of age.

In this regard, in his memoir 'I Was There: Dispatches from a Life in Rock and Roll', Alan Edwardsamong other anecdotes, tells of the time Keef was so upset, during a tour with the Rolling Stones, who was flown from one country to another while still dazed in his bed.

It happened that Keith Richards was so high on heroin that he fell into such a deep sleep that the band's roadies, unable to wake him, had to transport him on the group's private jet in the state in which they found him. This is Edwards' recollection: “The tour manager couldn't wake Keith in the hotel room to fly to the next country. So the roadies carried the bed, with Keith sleeping in it, out of the hotel, put it on the plane and then they took him away when the plane landed again. Keith woke up in another hotel room in another country without having moved. There were no normal constraints in terms of when or where the plane left: the Stones were traveling on their 747 jet.”
