Today the Californian pop star, vice versa, seems to be wrong all of them. First the disastrous launch of the single “Woman’s World”, then the bankruptcy return on the scenes with the album “143” (which in the USA was unable to go beyond the sixth position of the ranking, quickly disappearing from the radar), therefore the criticisms for participating in the spatial mission of Jeff Bezos Blue Origin (many have raised perplexity on the environmental impact of the operation, called ” vanity “). The last false step of the Katy Perry series took him last Wednesday on the stage of the Ciudad de México Arena in Mexico City, which hosted the debut of “The Lifetimes Tour”. The departure of the tour was particularly awaited by the fans of the voice of “I Kissed a Girl”: it is the first world tour of Perry after eight years (many as many have passed since the start of the “Witness Tour”) and the followers of the pop star hoped for a relaunch after the disappointing results of “143”. But everything did not go as expected.

And so while the Little Monsters still continue to circulate on social networks the videos of the iconic exhibition of the rival of all time Lady Gaga al Coachella, the Katycats – as Katy Perry’s fans have been called – for days they have only to turn up their noses in front of the clips of the debut of the “Lifetimes Tour”. That many define, without turns of words, “embarrassing». The clips that bounce on social networks show Katy Perry who dances on the stage, swinging from one side to the other and lifting their hands in the air, before moving the butt and pretending to fall to the ground. “Because it seems that the debut concert has been more a proof than a real performance of the tour?” A user wonders. And another ironized: “Maybe he should have made some tests instead of going into space.” Someone appeared definitely worried: «He should cancel this tour before his career is canceled. I’m serious ».

The fans, among other things, did not even like Katy Perry’s choice to insert 7 songs between the scaletta 7 songs taken from the album “143” among the 23 songs: in addition to the individual “Woman’s World”, “Lifetimes” and “I’m His, He’s Mine”, Perry also listens to the album “All the Love”, “Artificial”, “Crush” and “Nirvana”. The songs of the album represent about a third of the lineup, in which however there is no shortage of “Teenage Dream” as “California Gurls” and “Firework”, those of “Prism” as “Dark Horse” and “Roar” and “I Kissed a Girl” and “Hot n Cold”. The visuals shown on the Maxiskemers, many of which are made through artificial intelligence, also ended up in the sights of the fans: a choice that Katycats have not liked. The concert is divided into five acts plus an encore, with Perry fighting against an evil force called main frame in the role of a character of a video game called KP143.

The “Lifetimes Tour” will go on until 7 December and the calendar originally included 84 concerts in all (one of which in Italy, on November 2 at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno, in Bologna). But the shows in the meantime became 82: on the eve of the debut, in fact, Perry was forced to communicate to his fans the cancellation of the concerts scheduled for 1 and 2 May in Guadalajara, Mexico. The reason? The stadium that should have hosted them, the Arena Guadalajara, was not built in time.
