Justin Timberlake on stage after arrest: “It’s hard to love me”

“It’s been a tough week. I know sometimes it’s hard to love me, but you keep doing it”: with these words Justin Timberlake thanked his fans during his first concert after his arrest earlier this week for driving under the influence inebriation. The 43-year-old singer and actor broke his silence on the incident Friday during his show at the United Center in Chicago, a stop on his “Forget Tomorrow” world tour: “We’ve been together through thick and thin, left and right… but you’re here and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment now.”

Timberlake was arrested after being stopped while driving in Sag Harbor, New York. After a night behind bars the pop star was released without bail on Tuesday morning. The singer has been charged with drunk driving and will have to appear in court again on June 26, according to US gossip and entertainment site TMZ.
