Goodbye to Valeri Manera, author of Cristina D’Avena’s hits
Goodbye to Alessandra Valeri Manera, author of some of the most iconic cartoon theme songs recorded by Cristina D’Avena. The pen of songs such as, among others, “Occhi di Cat”, “L’Incantazione Creamy” and “Magica Doremì” passed away on Thursday 20 June in Rapallo, Genoa, at the age of 67. You were responsible for children’s programming on the Mediaset Group networks from 1980 to 2001, curating programs such as “Bim Bum Bam” and “Ciao Ciao”. Valeri Manera also signed the theme songs for “Pollon”, “It’s almost magic Johnny” and “Dragon Ball”.
Various composers and musicians with whom he collaborated, from Piero Cassanoa to Vince Tempera, from Franco Fasano to Max Longhi, passing through Giorgio Vanni, Cristiano Macrì, Danilo Aielli, Maurizio Perfetto and Antonio Galbiati. He also wrote the lyrics to some songs for the Zecchino d’Oro, including “Bit” in 1985, “Publi pubbli amministrazione” and “Gira, gira il globe”.
