Joe Walsh and the future of the Eagles

Joe Walsh and the future of the Eagles

The guitarist of Eagles Joe Walsh speaking to USA Today he commented on the band’s future plans after theirs ends record-breaking residency at Sphere in Las Vegas next February.

This is the thought of the 78-year-old American guitarist: “It’s time to think about life after the Sphere. We will always be residents there, but maybe next summer we can do something different. We may have to completely reschedule our presence to not play at the Sphere.”

Joe Walsh he also wanted to clarify that the path of the Eagles is far from finished by saying, “But we’re not done yet.” What ‘not having finished yet’ means is up for interpretation: there are no rumors that could suggest a future tour at the end of the marathon at the Sphere. They could focus on special and targeted events, on other residences, which undoubtedly have the advantage of comfort. Or – why not, given the success – increase the number of live shows in Las Vegas.

If no other concerts are added from September 2024, the Californian group will have played 52 times in the venue located in the Nevada city. The group is now made up not only of Walsh but also of Don Henley, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill And Deacon Frey.
