Jerry Cantrell Alice in Chains guitarist and solo artist performed “hate to feel” of Alice in Chains During the first evening of his tour “I Want Blood”, with which he presents the homonymous solo album published recently.
Inaugurating the North American stage of the Tour with an evening of opening at the Niagara waterfalls, in the Ontario, last Friday (31 January), the grunge icon took the fans by surprisingly performing the song that since November 1993 since November 1993 He was absent from the lives of the band and his members.
Cantrell played the song also in the two following dates, that of February 1 to Starland Ballroom, Sayreville, New Jersey and on February 2 to Portland.
“Hate to Feel” had been originally published by the band in 1992 with the album “Dirt”, the most loved by fans, and had no longer entered the lineup – both for the AIC and for solo members – from the following year.
For the tour, the singer, songwriter and guitarist was supported by Better lovers and by the former singer of the Dillinger Escape Plan Greg puzzatowho performed the vocal parts of the deceased alice frontman in Chains Layne Stley (disappeared in 2002).
The rest of the set included various songs from Cantrell’s latest album beyond that other classic songs of the iconic album of 1992, including “would?”, “Rooster”, “Down in A Hole” and “Them Bones”.

Jerry Cantrell will arrive on tour in Europe and will also be in concert in Italy in the spring for two dates to be held in Padua (Hall, Saturday 31 May) and Milan (General Warehouses, Sunday 1 June).
