Jeremy Allen White will play Bruce Springsteen in a movie
Bruce Springsteen and his manager, Jon Landauare involved in the creation of a new narrative feature film on the creation of “Nebraska”, the solo acoustic album released in 1982. This was reported by Deadline (an American website that deals with cinema and television) and Variety.
Jeremy Allen Whiteprotagonist of “The Bear” (TV series in Italy available on Disney+) and “The Iron Claw” (film written and directed by Sean Durkin), is said to be in negotiations to play Springsteen.
According to the two American publications, Scott Cooper is directing and writing the film and Scott Stuber, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson are producing it.
The film will reportedly be titled “Deliver Me From Nowheree” and is adapted from the book of the same name by Warren Zanestranslated into Italian as “Free me from nothing” (read the review here).
Rumors of a Springsteen film centered on “Nebraska” were first reported by Showbiz411 in January.
In 1991 the actor and director Sean Penn produced the film “The Indian Runner” (“Lone Wolf” in Italian), a film inspired by the song from the album “Nebraska” “Highway Patrolman”, where the characters, settings and narrative style are a faithful transposition of the song.
