Jack White and Post Malone, American football halftime show

Once upon a time there was a Super Bowl with its “halftime show” – and there still is: for 2026, amidst a thousand controversies, it will be Bad Bunny’s turn, after Kendrick Lamar’s performance in 2025. Except that it is no longer a single event, but a serial one. For Thanksgiving – which falls at the end of November and for Americans is as important as Christmas for us, in terms of social and commercial impact – the NFL is planning 3 halftime shows in as many games broadcast live nationally, featuring Jack White, Post Malone and Lil Jon.

Jack White will sing in Detroit at halftime of the game between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers at Ford Field. The show is produced by Eminem – who has already done his Halftime Show with Dr. Dre – and chose the rocker, who has just been admitted to the Rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame. In Texas, during the game between the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs, Post Malone, a great Texas fan of the Cowboys, will take the stage. In Baltimore, Lil Jon will perform during the game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Last year, the NFL debuted on Netflix on Christmas Day and during the Baltimore Ravens’ game against the Houston Texans there was another halftime show that rivaled that of the Superbowl. Beyoncé had presented Cowboy Carter and the event had been dubbed the “Beyoncé Bowl.” As it stands we know that Netflix will re-broadcast two NFL games (Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings), but no musical performances have yet been announced.
