Jack Savoretti: Italian author music in the UK charts
The Italian songwriting has returned to appear (at the top) in the English charts, both the official ones and those of the digital stores, thanks to Jack Savorettithe Italian-English singer-songwriter who with his latest album “Miss Italy” he went where no one could imagine he would go. Because if it is true that the Italian bel canto of artists such as Bocelli and Pavarotti is also loved across the Channel, our songwriting has always struggled to make itself known and understood in Great Britain.
“Miss Italy” – also entered at 7th place in the Italian album, vinyl and cassette charts and at position no. 23 in the general classification- it is above all the first album in Italian of Savoretti.
Singer-songwriter, with Ligurian blood on his father's side, he is an artist who has sold over a million copies thanks to 7 albums published in English (of which 2 reached first place in the UK charts) in over 10 years of his career.
“I would like people listening to this album to perceive it as a Jack Savoretti album, without thinking about what language I sing in. It's in Italian but it's Jack Savoretti, it's not a Savoretti record in Italian.”
“Miss Italy” contains 13 tracks including 12 unreleased songs including guests such as Carla Morrison, Delilah Montagu, Miles Kane, Natalie Imbruglia and Svegliaginevra and collaboration with Sugar in “Without a woman (Without A Woman)”La bonus track of the album that saw Savoretti collect the legacy of Paul Young in one of the most famous songs of Italian music even abroad.
