The lost collaboration between Kylie Minogue And Prince, “Baby Doll”emerged online 32 years after its creation. The song was born in 1992 after Minogue met Prince backstage at the end of the American musician’s concert at Earls Court in London in June of that year. The Australian pop star asked Prince what he was working on and he invited her to his headquarters, the Paisley Park studio in Minneapolis.

As reported in the notes accompanying the publication of “Baby doll” on the YouTube channel New Paisley Generation, the song is an unreleased song recorded between the end of April and the beginning of May 1992, at Studios 301 in Sydney, Australia. The text was written by Kylie Minogue and the song was meant for her.
The song is cataloged as the track “Prince and the New Power Generation”, since Kylie Minogue he did not re-record it and the only known version is the full band version with Prince on lead vocals.
