Heavy Metal in San Siro: Iron Maiden, a date in 2026

The “rock scale” will become, for one evening, “the Heavy Metal scale”, updating the nickname of San Siro for concerts: for the first time in its history, the Milanese stadium will host a metal band, and what a band. The Iron Maiden will play on June 17, 2026, for their single Italian date of the 50 -year career celebratory tour, the “Run for your Lives World Tour”. The concert comes exactly one year after the 2025 show at the Euganeo stadium in Padua. In San Siro, as already happened in Padua, the show will be centered on the songs published between the 1980 debut and “Fear of the Dark” of 1992.

“In this new Leg we will play in Metal Festival and in some stadiums. Among these, San Siro, Casa del Milan and Inter, where we will be – I was told – the first metal band of always on that stage. It is always nice to explore new roads, even after all these years”, says Rod Smallwood, historic manager of the band.
“We thought of making other concerts in Europe before leaving for other parts of the world later on the course of the year. Of course Simon Dawson will be again with us behind the battery, and both he and the whole band want to thank the fans for the magnificent welcome that have reserved for him during the first leg”, echoes Steve Harris, founder and bass player.

“It was also very special to see that the vast majority of our fans appreciated and respected our request to severely limit the use of cell phones to our concerts, ideally keeping them in the pocket, especially in the standing areas in front of the stage. Unfortunately there have been exceptions in a couple of places, but overall the understanding and collaboration of our fans made a huge difference in the atmosphere of each show and have definitely increased both for the band and for the band for the band Fans themselves, ”explains the manager.

The tour

The Milanese concert is part of the second part of the “Run for Your Lives” tour, which will see the Maiden return to Europe – between festivals and stadiums – before continuing to the rest of the world. The band confirmed that 2026 will be the last year of concerts before a break in 2027.
