Gross has returned to being a Brat Girl

Gross in the new single: “A few days are woman, other men”

“A few days are a woman, others a man”: he sings him gross in the new single “Hammer”, another anticipation of his next album “Virgin”, coming out on Friday 27 June. The New Zealand pop star opens like never before on a personal level: “Hammer” is the passage that opens “Virgin” and Lorde defines it as “an ode to sensuality”. The song was written by the same Yelich-O’Cannor, this is the real name of the voice of “Royals”, 28 years old, together with its producer Jim-e Stack.

“Hammer” arrives after the first two advances of “Virgin”, the singles “What was that” and “Man of the Year”. Already last month on the occasion of an interview in Vogue after parading on the red carpet of the Met Gala, wearing a Thom Browne dress “containing clues for the new album”, gross had explained how that garment represented “my point of view on genre. I feel like a man and a woman … it is a reinterpretation of cummerbund”.

“Virgin” will be the fourth album of gross, after the 2013 debut with “Pure Heroine”, “Melodrama” of 2017 and “Solar Power” of 2021. Lorde will present it with a tour that will also pass through Italy, for a single date scheduled for November 29 at the UniPolana in Bologna.
