Speaking of the cover of the Montgolfier Brothers, Gilmour said: “I had that song in my playlist from his release. I recently mentioned it to one or two people: I thought it had been a success, but nobody knew her. I asked Romny to try it”.
Gilmour duetted with Romny also on the occasion of last year’s shows at the Circus Maximus, with whom he presented “Luck and Strange” worldwide, his first album in nine years. The disc was produced by David Gilmour and Charlie Andrew, known for his work with Alt-J and Marika Hackman: includes nine tracks, including the individual “The Piper’s Call”, “Dark and Velvet Nights” and “Beteween Two Points”. In the title track there is also the late Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright, recorded in 2007 during a jam in a barn at David’s house.
