Gorillaz turns 25, here are the celebratory events

THE Gorillaz They turn 25 this year, a milestone that the collateral project of Damon Albarnwhich has become a phenomenon, will celebrate this summer with a residence of four concerts (29 and 30 August and 2 and 3 September) and an exhibition at the Copper Box in London.

Entitled “House of Kong“The exhibition, from 8 August to 3 September, promises a” journey through the life of the band made of misadventures, musical innovations and revolutionary virtual ways “, according to a press release. No further details were revealed but a trailer was published online.

London shows have been the first of the Gorillaz since they canceled a North American tour in 2023 after the release of “Cracker Island”.

Meanwhile, Damon Albarn in an interview has declared that he is working on a new album of the mysterious group that will be released, as confirmed also on the band’s Instagram profile, by 2025, two years after the previous one “Cracker Island” (Read the review here).
