Is dead Toby Keith. The American singer and country star was 62 years old. Keith died yesterday, February 5, from stomach cancer which he was diagnosed with in 2021.

The death was announced with a statement on the artist’s website and on social channels.

“Toby Keith passed away peacefully yesterday evening, February 5th, surrounded by the affection of his family. He fought his battle with grace and courage”, we read on the social pages.

In June 2022, the singer announced the news regarding the disease: “I have spent the last 6 months between chemotherapy, radiotherapy and an operation. For now, everything is fine. I need time to breathe, recover and relax”.

Keith achieved success in the ’90s with songs like “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “Red Solo Cup” and “I Don’t Wanna Talk About Me.” In 2002 he recorded “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” a patriotic anthem written after the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Keith performed the song in January 2017 in the inaugural concert for the inauguration of Donald Trump, elected president of the United States in November 2016.
