Goodbye to Sean Blosl, founder of Sanctuary

The former guitarist of the band has died at the age of 58 Sanctuary Sean Blosl. Blosl formed i Sanctuary in 1985 with his cousin, the guitarist Lenny Rutledge.

Yesterday Rutledge announced his death by posting this message on social media Sanctuary: “It is with a very heavy heart that I must announce that Sean Blosl passed away earlier this year.

He was involved in a car accident in Seattle. I struggled to publish this news. I’m not a fan of death announcements on social media, but I realize that while I think this is a private family matter, Sean was also a very important part of the Seattle music scene. Sean was my cousin, but we were more than brothers. We had a musical dream when we were kids that came true. Without Sean by my side I don’t know if I would have had the opportunity to take this musical journey. It’s very difficult to sum up a lifetime of love, memories and experiences, but I will always remember Sean as an inspiration and a teacher. RIP Brother. I’ll see you again on the other side.”
