Goodbye to Carmine Daniele, Pino’s brother

Carmine Daniele, brother of Pino Daniele (pictured) to whom the late Neapolitan singer-songwriter had also dedicated the song “I got the blues”, has passed away at the age of 67.

According to what was reported by “Il Mattino”, Carmine Daniele, hospitalized in a hospital in Bari, passed away due to complications that arose after a heart transplant.

“O Giò who wants ‘and you see, I miss a lot of company, now I’m not good at talking and I can’t conclude but I got the blues, I got the blues on me”, recites a passage from “I got the blues”, a song originally included in Pino’s fifth studio album, “Bella ‘mbriana”, released in 1982. The “Giò” mentioned in the song was Carmine Daniele himself. In addition to him, the Neapolitan singer-songwriter had four other brothers, Salvatore, who passed away in 2021, Nello, Patrizia and Rosaria.

Just yesterday, November 24th, an unreleased song by Pino Daniele, “Again”, was played for the first time at the Maradona Stadium in Naples, which will be released on November 29th.
