Angela Bofill, an r'n'b star known to the general public for songs such as “This Time I'll Be Sweeter”, “Angel of the Night” passed away in Vallejo, California, last Thursday, June 13th. and “I Try”: the artist's friend and manager, Rich Angel, announced the news through his social channels. The causes of her death were not reported: Bofill had suffered two strokes between 2006 and 2007, which caused paralysis of the left side of her body.

Born in New York to a family of Cuban and Puerto Rican origins, the singer became popular during the Seventies, reaching a place in the top ten American R&B album sales with “Angel of the Night” in 1979.
