“Gloria”: this is who the protagonist of Umberto Tozzi’s musical is

Her name is Valeria Mancini, she is 24 years old and comes from Foligno, in the province of Perugia. She was chosen from over 1,000 candidates. Here she is, Gloria who will play the role of the protagonist in “Gloria”, the musical by Umberto Tozzi. The face of the protagonist of the show was revealed by the Turin singer-songwriter himself: «I was immediately struck by Valeria’s authenticity, personality and stage presence, as well as her vocality. Following the castings was a very stimulating job: I saw many truly prepared talents and the number of candidates who proposed themselves was extraordinary. It’s nice to see how young artists have managed to interpret and make my songs their own.”

Valeria Mancini’s face is already known to the public in one way or another. In 2022 the Umbrian singer participated in Maria De Filippi’s “Amici”, with the stage name of Guera: she was eliminated before the start of the evening show. In 2024 he opened Laura Pausini’s concerts at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome: «Laura was an inspiration, I observed her strength, her humility, her kindness and her great professionalism. I captured all these things, which I will try to make my own from now on. This experience has changed me, I once again have all the energy to carry on with my big dream.” Together with DJ Deborah De Luca he released the single “Give it to me” in 2023.

Umberto Tozzi’s musical will debut on October 23rd at the Arcimboldi Theater in Milan, where it will be on stage until November 1st.
