Gino Paoli in Parliament: commitment to music

Gino Paoli, the lineup of the Rai2 special “Forever Gino”

Rai remembers Gino Paoli with an evening dedicated to him, “Forever Gino”, a few days after the death of the great Genoese singer-songwriter, who passed away in the night between Monday and Tuesday at the age of 91. The appointment is for this evening at 9pm on Rai2. Hosted by Pierluigi Diaco, the special will see some artists remember Paoli by reinterpreting his songs.

The actress Milena Vukotic will interpret the lyrics of the first two songs deposited with Siae by Gino Paoli on 13 January 1961, “Io vivo nella luna” and “Volevo averti per me”, read from the original scores kindly granted by Siae. During the evening, alternating at the microphone will be Francesco Baccini, considered the last disciple of the Genoese school, who will perform “Quattro amici”, Simone Cristicchi with “Ti lascio una canzone”, Serena Autieri “Una lungo storia d’amore”, Nino Buonocore “Averti occhi”, Chiara Galiazzo “Senza fine”, Alberto Bertoli “La gatta” and Dario Ballantini, who for years imitated Gino Paoli in “Striscia la News”, will play “Another love”.

Also in the lineup are three other Italian actors called to remember Paoli: Claudia Gerini (singing “Che cosa c’è”), Lina Sastri (“67 words of love”) and Sergio Castellitto.
