Gilipojazz sign American trumpeter Randy Brecker for “Gustavo Adolfo Brecker”
Gilipojazz opens a new stage with “Gustavo Adolfo Brecker”, its new single and the first preview of the music that the band will soon unveil. For this beginning, the Madrid trio joins forces with a true jazz legend: the American trumpeter Randy Breckeran essential reference in the history of contemporary jazz and a key figure in the evolution of jazz-funk and fusion.
“Gustavo Adolfo Brecker” is born from the encounter between two generations and two ways of understanding music that find a common language in experimentation. The characteristic sound of Gilipojazz meets Brecker’s unmistakable trumpet in a song that transitions between jazz, rock and funk, keeping intact the spirit that defines the band.
The collaboration also represents a step forward in the international dimension of Gilipojazz, which continues to expand the limits of its proposal and explore new sonic possibilities. If they make something clear with “Gustavo Adolfo Brecker”, it is that this new stage comes to continue taking their music to unexpected terrains.
Gilipojazz will visit Mexico at the beginning of November, with performances in Guadalajara (November 5, Cuerda Cultura), Puebla (November 6, Jazzatlán) and Mexico City (November 7, Jazzatlán). Next, you can see them in Madrid (November 13, Teatro Eslava).
