One of the most legendary vocalists of the Australian rock scene, Angry Anderson, has died at the age of seventy-nine after being hospitalized in Germany while the band was touring Europe. Which makes it clear that Anderson has been a rocker until the end.

The reason for his hospitalization was a heart attack that he could not overcome while touring with Rose Tattoo, the band he has led for fifty years with energy and ferocity, which led him to earn the nickname “Angry.”

Gary Anderson began his career in 1974 in a band in which he shared the spotlight with Phil Rudd, who would later join AC/DC. Rose Tattoo, for their part, started in 1976 and soon became one of the favorite bands of Australian fans first and then the rest of the world.

To remember, there are singles like “Bad Boy for Love”, “Rock ‘n’ Roll Outlaw”, We Can’t Be Beaten” or especially “Nice Boys” – which Guns N’ Roses played live and which they published on record. The group had already become a fundamental influence for many hard rock bands of the eighties before breaking up for the first time in 1987.
