Fred Again..: the most powerful live performances on video
Fred Again.. made his 2024 recap. He condensed some of last year’s most powerful performances, including live performances, into one video in Los Angeles at the Coliseum, with Romy and Obongjayar. The British producer uploaded to his official YouTube channel an 18-minute mini documentary titled “2024” which features various on-stage highlights and behind-the-scenes footage. The clip opens with Fred Again.., his real name is Frederick Gibson, playing while sitting at a dining table, then it switches to Lil Yachty listening to a beat that the producer plays for himto various soundchecks in different shows, to rehearsal sessions with the harp, to a moment of collaboration with the artist The Japanese House for a performance at the Rising Sun pub in Somerset and a special snippet in which he and Romy (she is the guitarist and co-singer of XX) they perform a cover of “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish. Along with his year-end recap, Fred Again.. also shared two new videos from his first show at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles. In particular, you can see and hear it “Adore U” featuring Obongjayarwhich saw the two sit inside the structure and perform the song from there. There is also “Strong” with Romy.
“One of the craziest nights of my life. After we did the show, someone told me that Romy spent the first half of the show on the floor in the crowdwatching and dancing with everyone and then, when it was her time, she jumped the barrier and went up to the steps of the stage and played this piece with me. Then she immediately walked back towards the audience to dance the rest of the performance,” wrote Fred Again.. in the caption of the YouTube video. The producer literally took over the Memorial Coliseum on June 14, 2024, it was his first stadium performance. The concert came after his three-day residency at the Frost Amphitheater in Stanford, California, where he premiered previously unreleased songs like “Side By Side.” After his show at the LA Memorial Coliseum, Fred Again.. stopped by the Reading Festival where he showed up wearing a Fontaines DC t-shirt, band he is a fan of.
Fred Again..’s latest release was his fourth studio album “Ten Days”, enriched, month after month, with several songs. Fred Again.. is leaving an indelible mark on the global music scene. Some of the highlights of his journey include selling out Madison Square Garden in 2023 with Skrillex and Four Tet.
