Farewell to the French rapper Werenoi, he was 31 years old

The French rapper Werenoiwhose real name was Jérémy Bana Owona -of Cameroonian origin, died yesterday at the age of 31, as announced today by his producer.

The news of his disappearance came at a time when his health conditions were the subject of speculation on social media, especially after he had missed a concert. The cause of his death has not been communicated. Manufacturer Babs paid tribute to Werenoi on X, expressing his affection with a short touching message: “Rest in peace my brother, I love you !!! ”

Werenoi made his debut in February 2021 with the song “Guadalajara”, using the name We Renoi. In May 2022, he released his official debut, the album “Telegram”. This was followed in 2023 “Carré”, both certified gold disc in a short time with which he reached the first place in sales.

2023 was a year of great success for Werenoi, who published “Laboratoire” and “Chemin d’Or”, who obtained the certification of diamond singles, exceeding 50 million streams and conquering recognition as “male revelation of the year”.

In 2024, its popularity has further increased thanks to the album “Pyramide”. Werenoi became the second most listened to artist on Spotify in France, exceeded only by Jul, and his album was the best -selling in the country in 2024.
