Farewell to Ernesto Assante: memories of friends, colleagues and artists
Following the sad news of the death of Ernesto Assante, who passed away at the age of sixty-six, friends, colleagues and artists remembered the journalist, one of the most well-known Italian music critics, radio and television author, as well as presenter, taking to social media and tributes and homages to the media (here the memory of Giampiero Di Carlo).
One of the first memories to arrive was that of his friend and colleague Gino Castaldo, who remembered him on Instagram with a photograph and a “my brother”.
Tributes arrived in Repubblica from Ligabue (“Ernesto Assante will be missed by anyone else who loves music and knows he has lost someone who could guide him with the discretion of a suggestion”) and Giuliano Sangiorgi, who in memory also shared a snapshot on social media with Assante: “How much life together, how much music, how many words… words and words, very full of life, music and words… more words! Hi my friend!”.
Cesare Cremonini, Elisa, Francesca Michielin, Levante, Piero Pelù, Emma Marrone, Francesco Gabbani and Noemi are just some of the artists and musicians who paid homage to Ernesto Assante on social media.
