Farewell to Carlo Dolce (Leftovers from Balera)
Unfortunately, Carlo Dolce, lead singer and flute of Avanzi di Balera, the popular tribute band to Lucio Battisti, has passed away due to lung cancer. He was 68 years old.
After various experiences, both as a flautist and as a singer, in some Brescian rock bands in the 70s, he was the leader of the cult hard rock band Dolce’s, forerunner of a certain crazy rock, with which he recorded a demo tape with covers in Italian by AC/DC, Judas Priest and Krokus and a handful of his own songs.
For many years (since 1992) he had been part of Avanzi di Balera, which he founded together with Gianmarco Carossino. Rockol extends heartfelt condolences to his wife, daughter and bandmates.
A secular ceremony will be held on Monday 23rd at 4pm at the Cremation Temple in Brescia, in via Lucio Fiorentini.
