Eurovision, how Switzerland won and how Italy voted
The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 ended yesterday evening, May 11, with the victory of Switzerland represented by Nemo with “The code”. The Swiss artist triumphed thanks to the votes of the national juries, beating the very favorite Croatian Baby Lasagna (who won in the televoting, but did not close the gap). Italy came 7th, with 268 points (164 from the juries, but no “12”, and 104 from televoting). Ukraine is third, France fourth, Israel fifth and Ireland sixth. As per the regulations, each country cannot vote for itself and in the name of transparency of the vote, the complete results of the juries and televoting for each participating country were revealed by the organizations of the singing competition.
Furthermore, last night the composition of the Italian jury of experts was revealed, made up of: Big Mama (president of the jury, Italian rapper and singer-songwriter), Marcello Sacchetta (dancer), Barbara Mosconi (journalist for TV Sorrisi e Canzoni), Maurizio Filardo (composer and conductor) e Elena Di Cioccio (actress, television and radio presenter).
