Eurovision 2026: the favorites to win the final
On the eve of the final, international bookmakers and observers point to Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen’s Finland with “Liekinheitin” (Flamethrower) as the main candidate for victory. Delta Goodrem’s Australia made a comeback in the last few hours with “Eclipse”, followed by Akylas’s Greece (“Ferto”), Noam Bettan’s Israel (“Michelle”), Søren Torpegaard Lund’s Denmark (“Før vi går hjem”), Alexandra Căpitănescu’s Romania (“Choke Me”) and DARA’s Bulgaria (“Bangaranga”). Italy is also among the candidates: Sal Da Vinci and “Per semper Sì”, fresh victory at the 76th Sanremo Festivalstart with good expectations from position 22 in the lineup.
The twenty-five countries are ready, but the winner will be only one. The grand finale of the 70th will be staged from the Wiener Stadthalle on Saturday 16 May edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. The live broadcast will be broadcast in prime time on Rai 1, preceded at 8.35pm by the “Eurovision Preview”, which will accompany the audience towards the show with stories from backstage in Viennaguest speeches and a summary of the twenty qualified countries and the five with direct access to the final.
