What to expect from Angelina Mango at Eurovision

In the aftermath of her performance at the second Semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 (here is our comment), when Rai published the results of the votes arrived from Italy via televoting, and on the eve of the final, in the international press room in Malmö Angelina Mango sang John Lennon's “Imagine”.

“Hi everyone, I'm here because I would really like to express my thoughts in my own way and in my own words”, “Hello everyone, I'm here because I wanted to be able to express my thoughts, in my own way and with my words”, said the Lucanian singer-songwriter in English, competing at Eurovision to represent Italy with “La noia” after her victory at Sanremo 2024. She added:

“When I arrived here I saw artists like me who live from music and speak with their music and who share the same dream. Last night I performed on the Eurovision stage with my heart full of love. I went to bed proud of myself and proud of all of us. Today once again I want the music to speak and this is the strongest message I can share.”

Meanwhile, everything is ready for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 (here is the guide), scheduled tonight May 11th at the Malmö Arena in Sweden. The final appointment with the international singing contest is broadcast live on Rai1 from 8.35pm with commentary by Gabriele Corsi and Mara Maionchi, but will also be available on the event's official YouTube channel.

Angelina Mango with “La noia” will have to deal with them 25 other nations. Among these there are the top 10 classified in the first semi-final; the top 10 of the second semi-final; the other rightful finalists, among the so-called Big Five, namely – in addition to Italy – France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain; and Sweden, host country following Loreen's victory with “Tattoo” in the previous edition.
