Elton John: “I don’t know how long I have left to live”
“I wonder what will happen to all this stuff when I’m done. This is the last part of my life. I don’t know how long I have left to live.” Elton John says this in a scene from the documentary “Never too late”, which will be released in Italy on Disney+ on December 13th but which was already presented in London last Thursday. At 77 years old, Mr. Crocodile Rock, who said goodbye to concerts last year (the last show took place on 8 July 2023 in Stockholm), reflects on his own mortality in the documentary: “I would like to be around forever. I would like to see my children (Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11, with her husband David Furnish, ed.)
have kids, get married, but I don’t think I’ll get there. Who knows? You never know.”
“There’s not much left of me. No, I don’t have a hip, I don’t have a prostate, I don’t have tonsils, adenoids, appendix and right knee,” the rock star told the audience during the documentary’s premiere. Only to then add: “But I’m still here.”
