Eddie and Alex Van Halen’s Last Song in an Audiobook
Alex Van Halen’s autobiography “Brothers” will be available in paperback and as an audiobook on October 22. The book edition narrated by the drummer himself will include the very last song the musician worked on with his brother Eddie Van Halen before his passing on October 6, 2020. The track, simply titled “Unfinished,” has been confirmed by publisher HarperCollins as “the last song the two wrote together” before the guitarist and co-founder of Van Halen’s death.
Alex Van Halen’s autobiography is instead presented as something that “is unlike any rock ‘n’ roll autobiography anyone has ever read” and that his “personal story of family, friendship, music and brotherly love is his love letter to his younger brother Edward (maybe ‘Ed’ but never ‘Eddie’), written while he was still grieving his untimely death.”
The drummer himself said: “This is my tribute to my brother; my way of saying goodbye. Ed, I love you and I miss you. When I see you again, I’m going to kick your ass!”
