Ed Sheeran: surprise show at Brighton primary school
In recent days Ed Sheeran surprised the little students of one elementary School of Brighton performing as a surprise for them. As testified by some videos and images shared online by the event organiser, Create Music – Music Hub for Brighton & Hove and East Sussex, the singer-songwriter held a small show at Fairlight Primary and Nursery School last May 10th.
During his visit to the educational institution, as well as playing three songs including “Perfect”the vocals for “Thinking out loud” also have met the young students to talk about his career and the importance of music education, and he has donated five of his guitars to the school.
Photographer Sadie Avard captured the event and spoke about the experience on her Instagram page by sharing a series of images. “His main message was not to be disillusioned with school if you don't meet the expectations of academic life,” Avard wrote: “Don't let it stop you from pursuing the things you love and turning them into your career. Find inspiration from others in the industry and work even harder than them to become the best.”
For his part, as reported by the NME, Peter Chivers, director of Create Music, explained: “Ed shares our belief that lives can be transformed through the power of music. We are so grateful for her support and generous donation of instruments to help other budding musicians on their journey.”
Five years after his last real Italian concerts, after the two intimate shows at the Fabrique in Milan in 2021 and 2023, Ed Sheeran will return to perform in our country for a scheduled date next year June 8th at the Historic Walls Area of Lucca.
