Drake and Partynextdoor announce the joint album “$ exy $ ongs 4 u”
Drake and Partynextdoor have revealed the first details of their new collaborative album, entitled “$ exy $ ongs 4 U”.
The announcement of the album, coming on February 14th, arrived on the official Instagram profile of the 38 -year -old Canadian rapper with a video. The clip shows three women in a karaoke room: one sings on the microphone, the other two are engaged in a conversation, while in the background you can hear Partynextdoor singing. The shot then moves to Drake, sunk on a sofa, which begins to make the Lipsync of the song that accompanies the video.
As reported by several international newspapers, the project could be the same to which the voice of “Hotline Bing” had referred during his performance in Toronto last summer. “In my name and party, we worked on something for you,” he said to the fans towards the end of the concert: “So, finish the summer, do what you have to do. I know all of you girls are out to have fun. But when the air is fresher, a partynextdoor and Drake album will wait for you. “
For Drake, “$ exy $ ongs 4 u”, of which the tracklist is unknown, will be the successor of the last “for all the dogs”, published in 2023.
For his part, Partynextdoor, the first artist to sign with the colleague’s Ovo Sound label, set his fourth studio album, “Partynextdoor 4”, last April. The two have already collaborated in the past on songs such as “Come and See me”, “Loyal”, “Wednesday Night Interlude”, “Members Only” and “With You”. In 2023, as reported at the time by the US edition of “Billboard”, Drake had called Partynextdoor his “favorite artist in the world” and he added: “I don’t want to embarrass you or anything else, I know you hate these things. But I am you Really grateful.
