Dolly Parton: her life becomes a musical.

One of Broadway's biggest hits was the 1964 musical “Hello, Dolly!” (with score by Jerry Herman and book by Michael Stewart). Now we are working on “Hello, I'm Dolly“, musical comedy inspired by Dolly Parton.

She is writing new songs herself and co-writing an autobiographical stage story about her life in a musical that she hopes to bring to Broadway in 2026. Parton said the show will include many original songs and some of her (and not a few) hits past. Parton will team with Emmy-winning Maria S. Schlatte to produce Netflix's “Christmas on the Square.”

“Hello, I'm Dolly” is also the title of Parton's 1967 debut album, which included songs such as “Dumb Blonde” And “Something Fishy” Dolly Parton has become a national icon, recognized for her contributions to music, film and literature, as well as her philanthropic efforts, including a million-dollar donation for coronavirus research.
