Ditonellapiaga isn't making a single mistake

Many met her at Sanremo Festival 2022 in which he participated with the song “Chemistry”, a dance piece with a pounding chorus presented with Donatella Rettore. Margherita Carducci, this is her real name Toe in the soreto follow, he published her first album “Camouflage”, which allowed her to win the Targa Tenco as “best first work” again in 2022while the following year she returned to the Ariston stage on the fourth evening of the Festival to sing the song “Salirò” by Daniele Silvestri together with Colla Zio. On May 10th he will release “Flash”his second project which promises to be interesting especially in light of the excellent singles presented to date.

In fact, Ditonellapiaga isn't making any mistakes. The first, in order of time, was “If I were like you”a profound song with a beautiful arrangement, which had its counterpart “It's all true”, a piece full of rhythm, sharp, sexy but never vulgar, self-ironic and overflowing with an electric feminism that is not closed in on itself: “First a saint, then a whore, today Madonna, tomorrow Moana, Greek mare in a Trojan house”. A song that moves thoughts and body limbs. A further piece was added with “Mary”, the third extract. A pulsating dance pop rhythm is the backdrop to the protagonist's compelling adventure: in her, a shyly vain sixteen-year-old with a passion for cosmology from an early age, the curiosity to explore the universe merges with the desire to abandon oneself to the libido and making love for the first time.

“Mary” is the meeting point between the style of Ditonellapiaga and the pen of La Representative di Lista: “With Veronica and Dario we wrote 'Mary' on a hot day at the end of April in Palermo – says the Roman singer-songwriter – I entered the studio with the idea of writing a song about a girl who wanted to go into spacebut during the finalization of the chorus, just when we couldn't find the right words, it came naturally to us to play with the lyrics, inventing phrases and some absurdities: among these the fact that 'Mary', rather than going into space, wanted to make love”. Then he continued: “Rereading everything we realized the beautiful metaphor that had been created in an absolutely naive and involuntary way. From then on we continued writing with this dual narrative and had a lot of fun. Working with Dario and Veronica is truly overwhelming: that day in the studio there was a coming and going of musicians, friends, relatives, all involved in giving a small contribution to writing the crazy story of 'Mary'”.

“Flash” presents itself as a total immersion in Margherita's chameleonic soul which, in the wake of catchy melodies and intimate ballads, offers a level of musical and authorial sampling that, with this second recording volume, could give it wings. Two live events have also been announced: on May 15th in Rome at Largo Venue and on May 25th on the stage of the Mi Ami Festival at Circolo Magnolia.
