Depeche Mode: “Spirit | The 12″ Singles” box set coming soon
Sony Music continues to reissue, divided by album, the collectible vinyls The 12″ Singles published by Depeche Mode.
The fourteenth box set in the collection, “Spirit | The 12″ Singles”, will be released on September 20th. dedicated to the band’s fourteenth studio album.

The next release is a deluxe collector’s box set in limited edition and numberedwhich contains seven discs on 12″ 180 gram vinyl, artwork which rework the original album covers, 1 replica poster And 1 card for download.
Also includes custom facsimiles of the three original double 12″ singles from “Spirit”: “Where’s the Revolution” (originally released on February 3, 2017, ahead of the album), “Going Backwards” (Published on June 23, 2017) and “Cover Me” (Published October 6, 2017).
“Spirit | The 12″ Singles” features, for the first time among the releases of this collection, a bonus disc containing previously unreleased tracks: the first 12″ vinyl pressing of the legendary Band’s Highline Sessionsrecorded live in New York City on August 3, 2016 with five songs, including a cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes” (celebrating the anthem’s 40th anniversary in 2017) and two unreleased performances of songs from “Spirit”: “So Much Love” And “PoisonHeart”.
Depeche Mode recorded their album “Spirit” from April to August 2016 at Sound Design in Santa Barbara, California, and Jungle City in New York, working for the first time with producer James Ford. Released via Columbia/Mute on March 17, 2017, “Spirit” was the last Depeche Mode studio album to feature founding member and keyboardist Andy Fletcher, before his passing on May 26, 2022.

The 12″ allowed the band to explore new sonic possibilities, combined with the attention to physical packaging that gave them the space to develop a sophisticated design aesthetic. Depeche Mode have used their discography of singles to offer fans offbeat remixes, rare B-sides, live performances and other exclusives.
