David Crosby, an Italian (and international) tribute CD

Following the death of David Van Cortlandt, universally known as David Crosby, an international group of musicians decided to make an album with his best songs to continue keeping his memory alive.
The project was conceived by three leading figures in the Italian music scene: Alberto Grollo (guitarist from Veneto and organizer of Guitar International), Alessio Ambrosi (creator of the Acoustic Guitar Village of Cremona Musica) and Francesco Lucarelli, a musician from Rome.
The project was immediately supported by Andrea Del Favero, record producer and artistic director of the Folkest festival.

“Long Time Gone” collects a series of fascinating versions of Crosby’s songs reinterpreted according to the sensibility of some Italian musicians, in addition to the splendid and unmissable gem of the unreleased “Higher Place”, written by Pevar on lyrics by Crosby. In addition to Pevar, James Raymond, son of the American artist, also participated in the recordings.
