Concerts: Gong returns to perform in Italy in spring

THE Gong they return to perform in Italy three times: Thursday 9 April at the Capitol in Pordenone, Friday 10 April at The Cage in Livorno and, finally, Saturday 11 April 2026 at the Rosmini Theater in Borgomanero, in the province of Novara.

Tickets will be on sale on the Dice circuits (Pordenone), Ticketone and Ticketsms (Livorno) and Ciaotickets (Borgomanero) starting from 10.00 am on Friday 21 November.

Two notes on Gong : The universe of Gong began in 1969 when Daevid Alleninspired by a profound psychedelic vision, founded the group. Former founding member of Soft MachineAllen imprints his spiritual and metaphysical inclinations on the collective. More than a band in the traditional sense, i Gong established themselves as one of the most unique, innovative and experimental rock bands of the seventies, through an exploratory blend of rock, jazz and psychedelia.

The current lineup, reunited by Daevid for his farewell album “I See You” of 2014, respects his desire to keep i Gong even without him, reaching “new, unknown heights and depths, far beyond anything I could have imagined.” The band now consists of Kavus Torabi, Dave Sturt, Fabio Golfetti, Ian East And Cheb Nettles boasts the most stable lineup in the history of Gonghaving written, recorded and toured their music in the ten years since Allen’s passing. The band’s latest album, “Unending Ascending”is dated 2023.
