Codacons warns La Sad not to use the name of the association
As reported in a press release issued by Codacons, the consumer association has made it known that today – 8 April – it has taken the decision to warn La Sad, fresh from the publication last 5 April of the new album “Odio La Sad” (read here is our interview). The warning comes to ask the trio formed by Theø, Plant and Fiks, who before participating in Sanremo 2024 with the song “Autodistruttivo” had found themselves at the center of the controversy raised by Codacons, not to use the name of the association to advertise the latest album.
The note reads:
Codacons today warns the musical group La Sad not to use the name of the association to advertise the new album.
For days the punk trio has been exploiting the name of Codacons on several occasions and on countless occasions to give visibility to the album, resorting to pathetic victimism and crocodile tears by speaking – completely inappropriately – of hatred generated by the association through the protests raised on the occasion of La Sad's participation in the Sanremo Festival.
A completely instrumental use of the acronym Codacons in order to obtain media visibility and mentions in the press, which however – deliberately – omits to indicate the nature of the association's protests.
And in fact, rather than “Odio La Sad”, the trio would perhaps have done better to call the new album “Odio le donne”, considering sexist and violent lyrics contained in some of the trio's previous songs, with phrases such as “But you're worse than coke, you're a slut”; “I'll fuck you just to tear your heart out”; “And I no longer want to be in the world if you are in it. I get double the psycho.. “.
