Childish Gambino's final act is getting closer

Childish Gambino cancels 2024 concerts scheduled for Italy

Donald Glover (his birth name) has canceled the rest of his tour dates Childish Gambino for the current year.

The musician previously postponed the North American leg of the tour due to “physical health” concerns, announced on social media Friday the complete cancellation of all upcoming shows in 2024.

This is what he wrote on his profile

After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to check on an ailment that had arisen. After being assessed, it became clear that I would not be performing that evening, and after further testing, I would not be able to perform for the remainder of the US tour in the required time. I am currently scheduled for surgery and need time to heal. My path to recovery is something I need to seriously address. With that said, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour as well as the UK and European dates. Tickets will be refunded. I want nothing more than to bring this show to the fans and perform. Until then, thank you for the love, privacy and support.

After canceling his show in Uncasville, Connor due to technical difficulties on August 24, Glover first postponed his show in Houston on September 8 for health reasons.

Unfortunately, the undisclosed health issue he had in Houston was just the beginning. “After further tests, I was unable to perform the remainder of the US tour on schedule,” Glover wrote. Previously, on September 9, Glover announced the postponement of the 15 remaining North American shows, though he didn’t mention the European concerts in that update, suggesting that those dates might be rescheduled rather than canceled outright. Glover noted that he also has a medical procedure planned. “I have surgery scheduled and need time to heal,” she wrote. “My recovery journey is something I need to take seriously.”

Glover, who has been performing under his Childish Gambino moniker since 2008, began “The New World Tour” in support of his new albums on Aug. 11. In fact, in May and July 2024 he published Atavist” And “Announcement Stone and The New World

He ultimately performed 18 concerts before retiring due to health problems. Glover’s website still lists seven shows scheduled for early 2025, so it appears Childish Gambino’s world tour hasn’t been completely canceled yet.
