Céline Dion: a documentary about her career and illness is released
There history and the career by Céline Dion, along with his battle against the rare neurological disorder that she was diagnosed, called stiff person syndromea progressive condition that severely impacts mobility and currently has no cure, will be the subject of a new documentary.
The project, acquired by Amazon MGM Studios and to come released on Amazon Prime on a date yet to be definedis titled “I Am: Céline Dion” and sees busy directed by Irene Taylor.
As reported by the “Guardian”, in a press release the Canadian singer explained: “These last two years have been a real challenge for me: from the discovery of my condition to learning to live with it and manage itbut don’t let it define me.” And again: “As the journey to resume my career as an artist continues, I realized how much I have missed being able to see my fans. During this absence, I decided that I wanted to document this part of my life to help others who share this diagnosis. So I hope that This documentary raises awareness of this little-known condition”.
In the official synopsis, the upcoming documentary is defined as a “emotional, energetic and poetic love letter to music” and Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, spoke of the project as “a raw and intimate representation of a crucial period”.
